Bliss

Tyler loves what he can't have.  I swear, that kid would try his best to eat a tortilla chip if it was put within his grip, even though he only has two teeth!  He also loves our phones and remotes, mainly because they're off limits.  When he was sick, I caved and gave him a remote to our old tv.

No, that's probably not good parenting ("You can have this remote, but not these remotes").  Judge all you want.  My kid was sick, had to stay home, didn't get to see his friends, and I had taken away 90% of his toys to disinfect them.

Plus, it was pure bliss for him:

Two weeks later, and he STILL adores the remote!  He waves it around, tries to turn on the tv when it's off (yes, we've created a tv monster -- trying to remedy that "it's ok, because you're sick" allowance), and throw it over the top of his play area before pulling it back through the grates.  Will this be a permanent toy for him?  No, but for now, pure bliss.
